First, I’m a Southern girl and I bring creativity, diplomacy, marketing wisdom, good listening skills, and above all, humor, to each day and challenge. I am a freelance public relations and social media consultant and have over 20 years experience in public relations and communications as well as a degree in public relations from Auburn University, I’ve worked as an account manager for specialty PR firms in Dallas and Birmingham, as well as heading two non-profits, Past clients include a law firm, two airports, business magazine, publishing company, real estate developers, software developers, clothing manufacturers, and an Olympic team to name just a few. Work has also meant service to others, with thousands of volunteer hours logged for non-profits such as the American Cancer Society, Children’s Cancer Society, Alabama Foundation For Oncology, Birmingham Historical Society, Operation New Birmingham, PATH Center For Women, The Labyrinth Society, Project Speed, The Mountain Brook School System, the Mountain Brook Track Booster Club. In 2011, I founded a statewide program called Camp Alabama Storm to help children emotionally affected by the 2011 tornadoes.
